FLOWER’s 2nd conference – University of Portsmouth

1 year after the 1st conference held in Nantes (organised by partner INRA), we are pleased to announce the second FLOWER conference intitled: “Advanced Biobased Materials and Composites for Engineering Applications“. The event is hosted by University of Portsmouth and will take place on Thursday 2nd April 2020.

Topics
  • Fabrication, processing parameters  and influences on properties
  • Environmental aspects, long term durability, aging and characterisation of natural composites and biocomposites
  • Plant biobased materials physico-chemisty /functionalities /mechanical properties
  • Structure and properties relationship of natural fibre composites and biocomposites
  • Natural fiber composites applications and end of life (EoL) evaluation
  • Recycling
Call for papers and registration

4 sessions of oral presentations are planned, as well as 2 keynotes (M. Sain, University of Toronto (Canada))and 1 invited speaker. Posters will be displayed during breaks.

If you’d be interested in submitting an abstract, please email Professor Hom Dhakal, University of Portsmouth with the following information:

  • a title
  • a short abstract or paragraph detailing your proposed paper
  • a brief biography

Deadline for submission of abstracts: 10 February 2020

Review decision notification: 20 February 2020
